What excites me more than music itself is the plethora of ways new music can get heard…with or without "record labels"…with or without "radio."
13 years ago local station Z-104. 5 became "The Edge", I was hired as the program director. 13 years later, it's great to see it's still one of the more successful rock/alternative stations. I've programmed stations in great cities like Austin, Phoenix, Atlanta, Kansas City...but Tulsa remains one of my very favorites.
I work for Shamrock Communications, we own The Edge and 94.1 The Sound (where I am on the air afternoons and am also the program director).
Our staff just started tulsaoriginalmusic.com, a new website and internet stream that caters to Tulsa's thriving local music scene.
