Holly Anderson is the Vice President of Marketing and Artist Relations of Eventful, the leading events website, which enables its community of users to discover, share and create events throughout the world. Eventful users select from over 7 million events taking place in local markets throughout the world, from concerts and sports to singles events and political rallies. Eventful's innovative Demand service has created "fan-generated touring" by enabling fans and performers to create grass-roots campaigns to "Demand" live events in local markets, thus changing the way musicians, entertainers, politicians and others schedule their appearances.
Holly joined Eventful in 2006 as Director of Marketing, implementing viral grass-roots social media marketing campaigns which generated exponential growth of the Eventful community. In her expanded role as VP of Marketing and Artist Relations, Holly continues to execute campaigns to build consumer awareness of Eventful, while creating innovative marketing promotions within the music industry.
Holly has 15 years of marketing experience in corporate, entrepreneurial and non-profit humanitarian organizations. She previously served as Director of Marketing and Sales at the Belly Up Tavern, San Diego's legendary live entertainment club, where she was responsible for marketing the venue for private functions.
Holly's background includes marketing positions with Southwest Airlines, Household Credit Services, one of the largest issuers of MasterCard and Visa, and Health Dimensions, a corporate Health & Fitness Fair event planning and health provider marketing company. She also served as Marketing Director for a high-tech start up, IWN, Inc., where she developed her passion for new media, new platforms and marketing techniques.
Holly has a BBA and MBA from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, where she served as a graduate research fellow in marketing.
